2015-16 Similar Students Measure (SSM) Map
Similar Students Measure (SSM) Snapshot Map
The Similar Students Measure (SSM) Snapshot allows users to create maps displaying charter and traditional schools and their results on the SSM, which identifies schools that persistently over- and under-perform a prediction based on student background. In addition, users are able to filter results by the school performance on Average Performance Difference (APD) and SSM bands.
Performance data shown are for the 2015-16 school year and reflect CDE data released 8/24/16.
Instructions: Select region type first, then region name in the drop down menu below. Filter based on SSM Band, APD or Charter/Non-Charter as needed.
Instructions for selecting schools in the map (for best results, please filter regions and performance before attempting to select): On the top left corner of the map, hover over the triangle below the plus and minus signs. Click on a selection type: Rectangle (A), Radial (S) (if you’d like to measure radial distance, zoom into area of interest before drawing the circle) OR Lasso (D). Then select area of interest.
Click the Download button on the bottom right of the frame, then click PDF. Select the following options:
